- Royal Palm Beach outfielder Christopher Barr is off to a fast start, batting .545 with 4 steals in 4 games.
- Righthander Alec Asher was a 23rd round selection of the Giants in 2010 and is now at Polk State College. He is off to a fast start this season at 3-0 with a 0.00 ERA. In 25 innings, he has allowed 10 hits and 5 walks while striking out 29. His fastball has been up to 95.
- According to a tweet from Kendall Rogers, Texas State righthander Kyle Finnegan (draft-eligible 2013) hit 97 over the weekend.
